I have noticed on other forums that there are meet up groups. Several posters have cited trouble making friends in New Orleans due to transplant status. I am a transplant who works a lot and hasn't really had time to go out and befriend people, so I would be willing to give it a shot.

Is there any interest in meeting up, say somewhere centrally located in the city, for an informal get together with drinks and good food? Any takers? If so, is there a good day/time to get it kicked off?

Thanks!

I'm down. A simple happy hour might be good.

Bayou Beer Garden comes to mind. It's close to where you are and I'm not far away either.

I'm up for it. Just saw your PM, confusedasusual. A group meet up would be great! Bayou Beer Garden sounds good, too. The food I had there last time I was there was delicious.

Yay! That makes four (or more, with significant others-- if you got 'em, bring 'em.)

Anyone up for Thursday? This week/next week?

I may be able to make it, depending on the time. I live just down the street.
