Hello folks.

Going to be in New Orleans for 4 nights in mid-March. Looking for a place to stay (VRBO, Air BnB), our 2 finalists are places in Bywater and Saint Roch.

Which area is safer? Thanks!

Bywater is safer, more tourists, more to do, closer to better neighborhoods. But you still need to watch your back there at night.

Bywater is much better. St. Roch is sketchy from block to block.

Bywater for sure, but stay below St Claude and pay attention to your surroundings.
