Just after signing your lease you ask how do you go about becoming on the waiting list for the first available one bedroom due to the error

New user here. good to see this online resource and so many people organizing and sharing information about this, it was hard to find much info on this anywhere...

So, last week, I've been asked to submit my latest pay stubs and other documents, they even had me rush up to the Bronx to submit papers last minute just last week, didnt get a call yesterday so im a bit anxious. ive been on 2 interviews and been getting calls and e-mails, and even mentions of assurance but no solid confirmation yes, and since some people are getting called im getting anxious, cant sleep lol...

I'm hoping in the idea I read earlier by someone that maybe they're going in batches and the people who are resubmitting papers are moved to the back of the line and we will eventually be called... i mean would they bother me so much and then say "aw sorry all gone" ... .... im hoping not... i kept hearing from them that i will likely be approved, like in this next week or so... So I'm crossing my fingers..

Does anyone know the best contact info to follow up with my application? whos name do i need to drop???? lol. Aw man, I really hope I get called, you guys all seam like you would make great neighbors.

wish me luck

Question for those moving from NYCHA who haven't signed lease yet: did you tell mgmt you were moving? They're saying 1 months notice is required, but I'm not saying a thing until I sign a lease. Plus that would be impossible to do with how this lottery process goes. A neighbor is moving out (to another state) they're trying to keep her deposit for not giving proper notice.

Well I have no idea since I'm living with my mom all they ask is for me to bring my lease and they will take me off her lease and down size her apartment which she is more then happy with.

All of this is a waiting process. At this point you have to wish for the best ! I was in your situation too I had to resubmit stuff and I got right to it and two days later I called management to make sure my paper was sent off to the management who are managing the building and got called in 2 days from them.
