I don't think your log number counts, it's the number you get on the ML waiting list. I waited 7 years way back when and was on the internal list for a larger unit for almost the same when they changed the game.
As for being a little over the income guideline, this is not the 80/20s, this is Mitchell-Lama and it's completely different. I don't know if you can get in now if you're over, but back then if you were only a little bit over they let you in.
If the log number doesn't "count", then what is the log number for?
I don't understand.
I thought the log number was just the order in which the applications went in. I re-read your original post and it's possible 4x is your waiting list number. When I put in an application I had to include money, like your $200, to be on the WAITING list. You get a number and they go down the line, in order, and the only variation is every so many people on the external list are alternated with someone on the internal list wanting a unit that size. When they get to your waiting list number, they look at your financials and whatever else the procedure entails and if it's all OK, you're in.
I called the management office today to clarify some questions I had. I was told that the log number is the waiting list number. Also, there are 6 one bedrooms currently available and they are currently working on veteran applicants. When I asked how long it will take before my number 8xx gets called, she said "years." Hope this helps.

yeah, that's usually the case with NYCHA public housing and mitchell lama.
Hello everybody,
I was applied for the 1 Bedroom Lottery in the East Midtown Plaza Mitchell Lama Coop on May 20, 2016
Did you hear anything yet?
You had called at one point and they said numbers under 100 could be called within the first year. Hope that is still the case. When I called they said it wouldn't be that long for number under 100 but I don't know how long that can be? Once your called then I am not far behind.
