Guys, does anyone know the price range from 51000 to 73000. Does the price depend from square, income or family size! Can't clarify the different of prices.
Good question. Not sure, thought maybe depending on floor number?

Usually depends on size of apartment or layout. If one one-bedroom is a little bit more square feet, it will cost more. If it has a balcony or not, more or less. The one I lived in, the floor didn't matter, only size.

Ok thanks for the info. It looks like EMP' s apartment all have terraces or do they? Some terraces are enclosed could that be considered extra living space? Does anyone know how much square footage are the bigger apts?
Some East Midtown Plaza shareholders launch new effort to turn complex private
Mitchell-Lama cooperative East Midtown Plaza is once again beginning the process to go private with a vote happening this Thursday evening.
The vote will be held at a special meeting that was called because the co-op’s board received a petition from more than 250 shareholders who support privatization. The property has been through this process in the past, with the last attempt at privatization resulting in a court case that sided with co-operators who were against the privatization, with a final decision made in November, 2012. Privatizing would allow residents to sell their homes at a profit. The special meeting this Thursday, which will be held at the NYU Dental School, is only open to shareholders.

How often can they vote for privatization? How can we find out what the results are from tonight's vote. What a bummer to hear this. How many of these people would have been able to buy these apartments if they were private, just leave it alone for goodness sake.
Penn South can't vote again until 2022. And only twice in the last 39 years have they voted. Got a 70-75 percent vote against. They just decided in 2012. I hope enough people show up to knock in down the first time. Is it their hope to get people fed up and just vote. Won't taxes skyrocket? I guess the ones who want it private want to take the money and run so why care about keeping a great institution for others.
Probably a year or so if it goes smoothly. Far longer if the decision is contested in the courts like it was last time. IIRC the last battle took about 4 years before the state's high court decided in favor of those wanting to stay in Mitchell Lama.
