Probably because the people who are waiting on this forum are in the income bracket/apt size where they have lots of people.
Some income/apt sizes are harder to fill, some are easier and they have much more demand then what they have.
So I just hung up the phone with my coordinator and she said they are up to the 16,000's with log numbers and I'm in the 19,000's. She also said that if a person with a lower log number is asked to send in paper work while their app. Is already in hdc, they have to wait the 5 days till the person gives it in, then wait for Hdc to approve, then show them the apt, etc and they have to do that for every applicant that approves before moving to the next log number... so that's the hold up... she said she is actually waiting for some paperwork from lower logs than me at this very moment. She also said that everyone that approves, on the management's end, their files are being sent weekly to hdc, so just because your file is in hdc doesn't guarantee an apartment.... one more thing, she said she honestly doesn't think they will get to my log number but that you never know.... bummer , hope this info helped someone
That makes senses, that's a reminder to everyone that this process takes time , i knew that already, Am one of those lucky/unlucky which happen to resubmit paperwork again , notarized , clarification , so on . hopefully i was informed that i should hear this month for a response.

OMG, I already Give up.. my file is in HDC but my log number is really high 21000+ lost my hopes.
def don't lose hope cuz it all boils down to your income bracket AND your log number...unfortunately for my income bracket there are only 15 apartments, for others there are over 50 so depending your income bracket (if it's different than mine) you have a waaaay better chance.
and like Jimmie said anything can happen, some people don't respond to their 5 day notice on time, decide not to take the apartment, don't have their first month plus security, etc, etc, etc, which puts you closer and closer.
