Jelly36 - Are you planning on appealing this? In preparation for my interview next week I was going over all the minimum/maximum requirements for the different size apts. and you correct that the minimum for the 1-bedroom is: 34, 972 and max is: 38, 100. Wonder how they figured your salary so incorrectly. Maybe you can ask to see their calculation worksheet?

Such a frustrating-bang-your-head-against-a-wall situation dealing with them from what it sounds like.

I have all my papers in order but still feel that no matter what I give them it won't be satisfactory.

I hope that you can get some clarification from BG and are able to make your case for getting an apartment there.

Wishing you the very best of luck. Please keep us posted.

I am planing on appealing. Really no idea how they came up with this number when it's way over that and calculated by the marketing guidelines. I downloaded it plus it's on the paper. Totally strange.

1 bedroom for 1 person: minimum $34,972 - maximum $40,080
1 bedroom for 2 people: minimum $34,972 - maximum $45,840

These are the requirements for 435 West 31 development. Not sure where you came up with $38,100

I was looking at the letter they sent to me. I guess the income did change! The minimum is the same but the maximum income brackets for all units are all different/higher on this letter I have.

Jelly36: It's all so confusing and needlessly so. This process should be straightforward with no confusion about income or what is required, etc. They make it so stressful...as if living in one of the most expensive cities in the world isn't stressful enough as it is! I'm glad we have this board to try to help each other out and to share/exchange information.

I really hope your appeal goes well. It sounds like you good cause to fight this. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

The income changed for most lotteries. It's higher now. I got the same income bracket when I got asked for the Interview and it doesn't match what's on the site

It's crazy how they calculated you under...usually it's always over miscalculated. I hope your Appel goes smoothly. Make sure you calculate your income correctly and show them that you make way more

Make sure you appeal! Include your calculation and expected income for this year plus pay stubs or any document relevant to those calculations. It took me 5 and a half weeks to hear back. So sorry to hear.

I will. I have it all. It certainly shows more income on the paper/on my pay stuybs, PLUS with cash deposits I reported as income as well -It is certainly OVER the minimum requirement, no way it is under! I am completely shocked by this calculation.

Someone told me in DM on this forum: 'Don't waste time to trying to make sense of it all because it doesn't make sense.' I get it now. But it is hard not to think about it. What I am also not understanding is being told by my income specialist I qualify on the spot, collecting all verification forms, having her contacting me for more explanations, checking my credit two weeks after and sending my file to the Leasing.. Then Leasing Specialist asking more questions about other nonsense (never about paystubs or income) just to be rejected based on income 6 weeks after, without any explanation! I did not submit any documents that show income changed - same paystubs. Why wasn't I rejected on the spot immediately, or at least two weeks after if those same paystybs showed that I do not qualify!? Because it was clear that I DO QUALIFY! It is ridiculous! I'd understand someone being rejected later on, if your file is sitting there for 120 days and the new documents show change of income. But those were my newest pay stubs, nothing changed since the interview.

Per Marketing Guidelines Handbook, your money order can be cashed and credit checked ONLY if you appear to qualify! So why the hell did they checked it? Why not reject me immediately and return my money order!?

Per Marketing Guidelines, also they need to give an explanation of their calculation. There is no explanation on the letter whatsoever, just the number $34.729.16! HOW?! WHERE DID IT COME FROM!? Also, no signature or initial of the person who rejected me. It is an empty 2nd page of the rejection letter! Is this normal!?

I am so pissed off you guys have no idea!
