There's been a real issue with their management companies. It took me seven months last year to get my deposit returned. I ultimately had to contact the BBB twice and also wrote to the HPD. The person from the management company (who is no longer there) that I spoke to the most told me that he was working on returning quite a few deposits. So you may move to the top of the list very quickly.

Hi ninacip. Were you able to get any news from York Hill? I'm really curious to see where the waitlist now stands.

1 bed, log# 407, 8/7/2023. I am uncertain of the date of the lottery waitlist. There was a February 2016 waitlist lottery for 1 beds limits to 500 log#s.
Village View and some others also updated on this date.

I assume your log# 48 is for 1 bed, and from 2016. If so, the log #407 might be at the end of a PREVIOUS waitlist.

Get Ready. #48 is a very low number on a six year old list. Lower log#s may have lost interest or become ineligible in the past six years. Some of the log#s 1 to 47 might never have responded originally and have been dropped from the list long ago. However, there could be higher log#s than yours with Veterans status which gives them a higher priority, also, it might be that #407 has Veterans status and is from the 2016 list.

After getting all your paperwork together in preparation of being asked, you might ask the office 1) have they started the 2016 list, and 2) Are there any Veterans status log#s on that list either active or on hold.

Now matter what, the list doesn’t move unless there is a vacancy. There can be a long time coming but not always.

The management company that handles York Hill is an absolute mess. They have no idea what is going on, they never answer the phone, and just have bad attitudes. I wish competent property managers would manage Mitchell Lamas.
