Thank you, I did see this. It shows the last number approved for a 3br was "863" in December of 2012. My log number is in the 50s for a 3br on the new waitlist. Do I just wait until this list is updated to start showing numbers approved from the new waitlist? I assume this could take years...if ever (even if my Log number was 1). Thanks.
For those of you who don't know--multiyear waits are routine for MLs. Put in your application (or don't, less competition for me!) and put it out of your mind. It's something nice that might happen down the road, but unless you're a vet, it won't be happening even in the medium term.

Good to know. Very different than Housing Connect, where you enter a lottery, and if you get a good log number, you can expect a call quickly. Thanks.

Yes, certainly. The ML buildings are all fully occupied, so it is a true wait list.
And to my knowledge, residents are not obligated to ”right size” when their family composition changes. So if I have a three-bedroom and raised my family there, and all the kids grew up and moved out, I would not have to move to a one-bedroom.
Plus, I believe that these apartments can be passed along to family members under certain circumstances. So you have young people moving in with granny (or claiming they're living there) and taking over the unit eventually.

I agree with Macnyc2003. That page is useful. But we can’t be sure how accurate it it. This can be due to Veterans Preference, and applicants that might be on hold, and other reasons.
I suppose that most accurate info would come from the management company. Develop a good relationship with them. Check in twice a year or so.
Strange that log numbers haven't been posted for Village East online. This opens possibility that someone could have been picked for the waitlist but application may have been lost in the mail or misdelivered.

I would it’s more likely the previous wait list still has applicants on it. It’s a good business practice to start a new wait list and have it ready to go before the end of an existing wait list is reached.

Some on this thread have mentioned that they have received an application from Village East in the mail. That is how they knew they have been selected to be on the wait list. Otherwise, if you didn't get the application in the mail, then you either didn't get picked OR possibly you were picked but the application somehow got lost in the mail. Is there anyway to know for sure?
