No news yet but i'm basically hunkering down. I don't think I'm getting called anytime soon especially given what people have said about Breaking Ground but I'm prepared to wait as long as possible.
Hi Joscosticks,
I had an interview early this month for 605 w -sky building. I have a question regrading the size of studio apartments as they told me upfront that they can only provide studio apt.
Are they decent size and alcove plan? Thanks
Why do you wanna switch your unit? If you have a market rate unit, you better snag it
As I mentioned in a previous post, I preferred a unit that faced a different direction than the one I was assigned. Higher floor would’ve been nice too. Oh well. I move in on Sunday!
[quote=joscosticks;53695886]Most studios seem pretty small, but I never saw one in person. You can find floor plans on the building’s page on StreetEasy under “all units”. https://streeteasy.com/building/sky-...treet-new_york
I called today and they said we just have to be patient and wait they are talking to people with lower log numbers mines in 7xxx. However, I submitted everything include the background check money. I wished we can get some update or an idea, like waiting list, accepted or denied, the anxiety is killing me and the holidays are coming up so I am getting tight with my wallet just incase I get it but this anxiety wooooh
My file was sent to the city some time last week. I guess its just a waiting game now. My log is a lil bit lower than yours. Do you have CB preference? When I went in to sign off on my docs before the file was sent they said they had stopped interviewing for awhile cause its taking really long to get the COO.
I have a feeling we will know approval status by/before Christmas. The building was supposed to have been ready/done by last January.
Hi, once u get a letter in the mail you have one week to respond and make an appointment to see the apartment. You go to the main office and pick up the keys. They give u one hour to look at everything yourself or whoever u bring with you. You have 2x chances to deny an apartment. Not responding in a week or two will considered a denial. But if you call them when you get back and its pass the one week it's NOT considered a denial, the only thing is that you can't make appointment to view. Depending on what your number is on the paper they sent you, if no one before you take it then you can view the apartment.
Thank you so much for your help! So if you got the letter at your home on, say March 1st, does that mean you have until March 8th to call and make an appointment, or do you have to actually view the apartment by March 8th? Or is the week deadline according to when the letter is dated?
My concern is not so much actually calling because I can do that from anywhere in the world (and I can have someone read my mail), but it may not be possible to actually be in the city to view the apartment within 7 days of receiving the letter. It also kind of means I can't go on vacation over the next year, since i tend to book vacations on the back of work travel.
This apartment is so worth it that I can forgo vacations for a year!
