Yes, thank you. I am still waiting to hear from compliance. I have municipal preference. Log # 1XX
I submitted documents almost a month ago and was told that compliance was still reviewing my file. The next step should be for me to sign off on my documents to go to HPD, but I do not have a time frame. I asked them and they could not give me a time frame. So basically I am still waiting. I have learned a lot about the process from reading posts here, so I really appreciate having this as a form of a support system.
So far my timeline is:
Jan got email to come in for interview because my application was randomly selected
Interviewed Jan 15 2019
Feb was asked for more documents, caseworker was very rude but I complied, submitted documents
March asked for more documents, caseworker was even more rude and discouraging, but I submitted documents
April submitted more documents and waited and waited...
end of May was contacted by compliance thank God it was a different specialist who was more friendly. I was asked to submit more documents with a deadline of early June
Submitted those documents in early June
contacted a week later from compliance telling me what size apartment I am qualified for
Then they said wait to hear from a supervisor from compliance and I'm still waiting.
So I'm staying positive and prayerful and preparing myself financially.
It's challenging because I still have to pay rent where I am and have no clue as to when and if I'll be approved. When I'm approved I have to have money to move. So it is a bit stressful not having a time frame to work with.
Golden rule is, don't get happy until you have signed your lease and have your keys in your hand!!!
I'll keep you posted.
Everyone who has applied and still being considered, hang in there. It's a process. But I'm sure we'll be so grateful when we have those keys in our hands to our new apartments Stay Blessed!!!!
This has been pretty helpful
My process was a bit different from yours a little bit quicker
I was selected for Central Harlem Housing Lottery
I called my case manager earlier, its been a few weeks and I just wanted some news, any update lol. She confirmed what someone else mentioned here, that they are waiting for the handicap units to be filled first and couldn't say how long that would take. Eventhough its been 3 wks since I signed everything, my file has yet to be sent to HPD and I'll probably have to submit my latest my paystubs when they call me again.

No update yet and my case manager said the same thing, she hasn't even discussed any units with me either. I sent her over everything she requested. I am crossing my fingers at this point.

I don't want to have to submit MORE paystubs again that doesn't make any sense!
Hi Dreamernyc, I'm new to this forum but I wanted to share with you that I too received a letter on 5/10/19 to view (2) 2-Bedroom Apts. I'm currently #15th choice and I think I was 22 or 23 back in October 2018.
Hi, I just sent you a private message. Can you check your inbox? Thanks
