My log number is 42xxx no preference. Currently qualify for a 2 bedroom apartment.
They have not contacted me for an interview. I doubt i will hear from them based on how high my lottery number is.
No offense but if you had a sudden windfall to the tune of over $100,000 why are you not putting that down on a market rate coop and leaving affordable housing to those who need it? :-/

Perhaps because $50K salary is not enough to pay a mortgage and maintenance in a decent neighborhood? I don't think a one time moderate windfall is enough to condemn this person. I've been looking at market rate coops for a long time now and can't get anything but a tiny studio for (or over!) nearly $500K and monthly payments would be nearly $3000.
I’m speaking of the neighborhood I live in. Isn’t part of the appeal of Penn South that you can live in Manhattan and not way out in the outer boroughs? Otherwise people can probably get a place in the Bronx for the same price as Penn South, so why rely on a lottery?
One might also say hey - if you make a $120K a year salary you shouldn’t need to rely on affordable lotteries but then, Penn South considers that an eligible income.

100k is chump change, barely more than what one can save up on minimum wage. cant even buy a house

Sorry that it chaps you. I do currently live off of income around 50k, and if I could live in PS it would be life-changing for my commute time, as other options I have are pretty far away.
Maybe I was being too harsh, and for that I apologize. However, if you do not get on the waitlist you still have plenty of options that other people don't.
