If you served in the military, don't you get first preference? My father-in-law was former military and he was moved to the front of the line on every apartment he applied to. He ended up in a very nice apartment on the upper west side.

That’s what I thought also but when I showed them my DD214 they didn’t even bother to look at them

Yes I appealed right after I got the rejection letter it’s been mor then a month and they never sent me an appointment for the appeal. The rejection letter states that I failed to submit a document but they were not specific as to which document who knows if they already have it. Keep in mind that this was happening during this pandemic so it was very difficult to get some documents. I was still submitting documents in April so. Why they didn’t they mentioned this back then.? mrrcaraballo10

Under present circumstances they may not be processing appeals so quickly. But I would follow up with them in writing.

Unhappy Appeals

Random person, were you able to find out about the appeal I never got? I emailed them again and it seems like they just avoiding my request and I’m wondering why is that? Thanks for your help.

Nothing new for anyone? 6** no preferences, not even initial contact. I thought this was a sure thing with so many units (I qualify for 80/90/110%) but I guess I underestimated the popularity of the building;;;;;;;;;;;
