Those that have been called to view units, what number were you on the list? I am in the low 200s and want an idea of how much more time I have to save for the down payment. Thanks for any input!

You can always put your application on hold while you save the money for the downpayment.

I was in the 140s on the studio list when I was called.

No way! Just to be clear, you're talking about the 2019 Studio lottery? Because I'm in that range now. It sounds like they could be calling me soon. And by call, I mean email. Or do they actually call or actually write?

Sunny, it's hard to say what's happening because you need someone on the studio list who was recently called to submit documents. I'm hoping someone shows up to answer your question!
My daughter is on the one-bedroom 2019 list. She was about 175 on the actives-only list. Someone who was about 80 on the actives-only list said he was called, and then about three months afterward, someone on the same list who was 150 said she was called! Which to me is surprising.
Then, for some unknown reason, my daughter advanced 25 places overnight. My theory is that when people are contacted by PS and they're not ready or they're out of town or whatever, they just ignore the letter or email, and rest assured that they will be contacted next time. But someone posted that PS is putting these people on hold, and if they don't reply to a follow-up, they're purged from the list.
I don't know how this all works with applicants now being asked to pre-qualify.
To add a little clarity… I was the guy in the 150s (referred to above). I received an email about 2 months ago asking for my financials “with the anticipation” I would be called soon. To date, I have not been called to view any apartments. I now reside in the 120s.
^^^^ Good to know, thanks for the update! It's so helpful for applicants to get an idea of what the timeline might be. My daughter is about 25 places behind you on the one-bedroom list and has not been asked for documents yet.
