The old rule was 50% down payment and finance the other 50% of the apartment price.
They changed it a couple years ago so you can put 25% down and finance 75%.

have you bee called to view and apt yet? or do you know if any of 2019 applicants get called? I am trying to get a sense of when I might receive a call.I am on late 200s too for 2019 2 bedroom waiting list. My leased renewal is due in 15 days and I want to avoid signing it if this comes sooner. I can mange a temp housing situation for a couple of months instead of signing a new lease.

Friend, you’ll be on it for years.
I waited 6 years for a 2 BR and there’s people behind me on the 2014. Sign the lease renewal.

Hi Thwibaeltom, I haven't been called. As far as I know they're still at the end of the 2014 2BR list. I renewed my lease in March, as it will likely take a lot of time for Penn South to get to me -- probably much more than I would prefer. You may want to do the same. All the best to you, whatever you choose!

Thank you, BklynMary! I will likely do the same. Please keep me posted if you get a call and I will do the same.

Yes, I definitely will. I'm glad I am now in a position to contribute to this board, where I've learned so much from everyone else. Looking forward to hearing your updates too! Good luck to you.
