Hi Jay, thanks for the info. So that's interesting...it looks like for the 130% AMI units, they're up in the 3000s for non CB! Did they give you any info about how many units they have left?

I know a friend who just moved in about 2 weeks ago into a 2 bedroom/2bath apartment. The weird thing was she applied with her father, but he had just passed away right before her interview. They still gave her the 2 bedroom apartment. So now she is a single person living in a 2bed apartment. She is lucky lucky lucky!

Sounds like her dad is looking out for her and helped with that gift. That’s really sweet. I’d love to hear how she likes it.

Emailed Susan at Reside last week, got confirmation today from someone named Blimy Heller that lease-up has been completed on all units in the 80% AMI category for studios/1 bedrooms.

Sorry to hear about her father, but that's an incredible gift for your friend. The 2BRs were the real treasures in the lottery (price to space). I was shown one of two studios (last of the bunch) and as much as I liked the amenities in the building - beautiful rooftop for residents; decent community work space -- the studios were literally shoeboxes. (The one I was shown also faced Kent, and besides the distant waterfront view, faces out into what is and will resume to be a high-traffic street.) If all you need is a kitchen and space for possibly a full-size bed and chair then perhaps they're adequate as a pied-à-terre. Otherwise, with rents plummeting all across the city, the units I saw, even at lottery price ranges, didn't seem worth it.

Hi Jay,

Can I ask what your log number and AMI were? Any CB preference? And it sounds like you didn't go for a unit?

Sure, my log # was in the 3000s, AMI 130%, 1-person for a studio or 1 BR. No CB preference.
According to the agents, my 3000s wouldn't have ordinarily been called on this massive waitlist but due to the pandemic, there may have been many drop-outs along the way.

I believe I was one of the last to decide. There were diff studios available -- some bigger than others -- but given my place on the list, I was shown probably one of the smallest. Had I been slightly higher and gotten dibs at a 1BR, I would've taken it.

Finally was called this past week and went to to see the studio apartment available, while there I found out two are available as someone backed out. The first studio was sooo tiny but amazing view and the second one was larger studio, with a semi alcove but was the back of the building looking into a warehouse/photo studios, with minimal sunlight exposure. The building was nice with the amenities but to live long term not sure if its worth it.

Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your application for the project indicated above.

Due to the fact that we received an extremely large number of applications, we will not be able to accommodate all those who have applied.

Your application is on the project’s waiting list. As units become available, we will process the next eligible household on the log. When your name is reached, we will contact you at this address. Naturally, if there is any change in your contact information, you must notify the management office immediately.

We may contact you in the future to confirm your continued interest in remaining on this waiting list and to update your application information.
Same here, my log#2xxx with no BC
