Yes, you do. If there are transactions on your bank statement to or from these apps, they will want to see the statements for those apps. I encountered this with CashApp. I sent my nephew in Florida gas money via CA until he got paid and sent me the money back via CA. The transactions showed up on my bank statements and the housing specialist for the development i'm currently in process with asked for CashApp statements. I didn't even know they had statements! LOL but If you log on to Cash App on the computer/laptop you can actually print out statements. Who knew?!

You're moving money from your bank account to Venmo and PayPay? And then you're making payments from there?
No, the apps are linked to my bank account, money is pulled from my bank account. It’s like using Uber or Lyft, but person to person. If I owe my friend $10 and I have no cash, I can use Venmo to pay them back and vice versa. In my case all of my Venmo transactions are outgoing payments. I’m wondering if the lotteries usually request this and if I am required to give them those documents.

Then yes, you are required to provide the management office for the lottery with the statements for your Venmo account if they see transactions on your checking account statement associated with the app. It does not matter if you're only sending money out through Venmo. They still want to see the statements to make sure that you aren't hiding income through this means (their logic, not mines!) and if you don't provide them with these statements, they can reject your application.

Got it, thank you so much! I was getting a little worried because although I’ve seen people say they have to explain those transactions, I haven’t seen any that say they were required to submit statements.

Yeah i was shocked when they asked to see my CashApp statement but I had nothing to hide so I gladly supplied it now my file has been approved by HDC and I'm waiting on the next steps. Good luck with everything, I hope all works out for you!

Nothing to hide here either so I’m hoping the outcome is the same as yours! I’ve already scanned and emailed them back. I just didn’t want to give more than is required. This process is intense

Extraordinarily so! They want to know all of your business and who you were in a past life! Hard eye roll! But i look at it as a small sacrifice for landing an affordable apartment in an otherwise unaffordable city, for most anyways lol

Does anyone know if a deposit from AirBnb will disqualify me for a lottery apartment? I did rent out my current apartment in 2019 as a share: it is being questioned now as my application is being processed!
