Lottery ends in 50 days - Oct 14, 2020

Im starting this thread for anyone who is interested in the area or the building. Be aware that it is only 130% AMI and prices start at $2100 for a studio. Link above takes you to the housing connect site where you can enter the lottery.

This link gives you some more insight on the building.

Good luck all!!!

They must not have been getting too many applicants as, it's back up in July 2021!

The buildings look nice but the area is not.

True indeed but, the neighborhood is on the come up. I knew this would happen the moment, the neighborhood became "SOBRO". There are a few more buildings nearby being constructed, and the demographics of the area have naturally changed when they rezoned the area. One of the selling points I can imagine will be the views (you can see the marathon route from the windows if facing north), proximity to transportation, cigar and wine bars. Heck, they even have a dog walker/kennel nearby! A little too rich for my blood but, if no one applies like last year maybe they will realize they need to revisit the costs a little.

I did a walk throw a one bedroom and studio here it’s tiny, there’s no living room space at all. The kitchen and living room is together, the amenities of the building and apartment is beautiful. Area not so good but they are trying to rebuild the area.

What's happening in The Bronx is literally a repeat of what happened with Brooklyn. Brooklyn was mostly undesirable areas and now most of it is all trendy/gentrified and "hot" neighborhoods that everyone is trying to move to.

With this ^^ being said, for those of you who are interested in this lottery, one of my good friends has an apartment in that area of the Bronx and it is gorgeous. He has a balcony where you can literally see all of Manhattan - including the Empire State Building, a lot of New Jersey and bridges, and some parts of Queens. His apartment is super therapeutic. He’s on a high floor and can see the sun set. So if you don’t mind the neighborhood or you’re one of those people who takes Uber everywhere, this could be a good deal.
