Timeline question (credit, school, to live in)

I submitted my documents to a development in the bronx on 2/4. I submitted financial documents, school letters, birth certificate etc. I also signed (electronically via docusign) an irs packet, group form document packet, agreement to check credit, household confirmation form etc. How long should I wait before following up? I’m hoping my family and I get this place! We are Bronx residents so hopefully they will give cb preference. My log number is 18xxx.

Every development / mangement company is different so nobody will really be able to tell you exactly how long it will take for me my process took 2 months for a development in the Bronx and just because you live in the Bronx doesn’t mean your community preference you have to live in the surrounding area look up the community board for that development and see if your zip code is listed . Thanks for the reply. I asked how long I should wait before following up with them. I’m thinking I’ll give it another 2 weeks, as I don’t want to inquire too early.

I would say that if you submitted documents on 2/4, I would follow up soon. You don’t want to be a nag, but you also need to demonstrate that you are engaged in the process. Also, community preference is being phased out, and many developments no longer offer it. You should check the original ad, or NYC Housing Connect.

Thank you! Yeah, I was trying to avoid being a nag lol I will shoot them a sincere email on Monday. I figured since they had us sign all of those docs that we would at least advance to the next phase.
