Probably a duplicate thread sorry--

is anyone currently waiting on HPD approval? My application was submitted last Monday and was told it would be around 5-7 days.

It's business days, so you may want to give it until at least Thursday before feeling like they're late - sometimes it does take a bit longer as well, I imagine they have the same staffing issues with omicron that the rest of the public service sector's been having.

Also waiting for approval, TIC uploaded to HC last Tuesday and was told 3-5 days (which I assumed was a little optimistic). In addition to what @popartist said yesterday was a public holiday so that's an additional delay.

I think those are business days that are referred to. Yesterday, Monday was a holiday not a business day.

When I spoke to HPD in December (the week before Christmas) they said their turnaround time for approvals is 3 business days.

However city employees take much longer to be completed. My TIC was submitted November 11th (yes, on a holiday) and I was told I should hear back in 3-5 days. My move-in date was even written as November 18th on my TIC. However, by December 20th, my file was still pending. When I called HPD to see why it was taking so long, I was told city employees can take up to 6 weeks. (Magically my file was approved the same day I called)

So in short, don't be afraid to call HPD to check the status of your file for yourself. They have a dedicated hotline for it.

I would love the number too. I found this online: 212-863-7990 but can anyone verify if that is the right number.
