Hey guys! I wonder does anybody here who applied for nycha has N4 priority (working families, N4 PRIORITY -- Residing in Sub--Standard Conditions or Rent Hardship
Families who are homeless, involuntarily displaced, living in substandard housing, doubled-up or overcrowded in private housing, paying more than 50% of family gross income for rent, legally doubled-up and overcrowded in NYCHA public housing or victim of a hate or bias crime.)
Did anybody get their apartment with this priority?? How long it took to get certified and selected??
Did you get the apartment that you chosen from vacancies anticipated provided from nycha or something else??

Hi! How does one apply for the N4 priority? I’m currently in an over priced and over crowded NYCHA section 8 apartment and haven’t had any luck.

When you apply on nycha web site they assign priority for you. So far, I did not hear anyone who got apt with N4 priority. Looks like they only give apartments to people from shelters

I've heard of people with N4 priority getting apartments - but after very very long wait times - typically 8-10 years or longer.
