Approval before Finalize HPD Approval (apartment, lease, housing)

Hi all,

Just curious, how long does it typically take for a file to be approved by the marketing agent’s supervisor before it’s sent for final approval from HPD/HUC? I feel like my file has been in review with the agent for like 3 weeks now. My agent keep saying it’s in the process of being approved but every time it’s reviewed by her supervisor
- more docs are requested. I didn’t know it took this long to be approved before it’s send to HPD but I’m trying my best to be patient.

Any updates on it? I’m going through the same thing. Only difference is when I called, I was told it was approved but the application is by batches and since I’m batch 4, that they are working on batch 2. I’m not sure what that means

The supervisor ended up approving my file on 3/31 and sent it to HPD. HPD approved me on April 12th. I viewed the unit and signed the lease a few days after. I would say Just try your best to be patient because it seems like HPD has been taking a a couple of weeks to get the files back to the marketing agent . Well wishes!

Thanks for the reply! I was just worried because this is my first time doing this process and was worried if someone else would take the apartment. Mainly because on nyc connect, it didn’t show the tic and it shows under review. Which I find strange since the agent told me that my application is approved but waiting for the application to come back in batches.

I totally get it. I’m pretty new to this as well. Yeah, I wouldn’t stress that. Til this day.. there’s no TIC on my housing connect lol and it still says under review it it hurt changed to review complete. They just didn’t update housing connect too much. Much of our correspondence was via email or phone call. Your agent will get back to you…it may take up to 2 weeks but in a week or so just contact them requesting a status on your file. Your unit # was most likely sent to HPD on the tick form and if you see the unit.. that unit will most likely be your unit. You’ve got this!

Yes,, under review with the marketing agent. I asked for an update via email, but have not received any response.

just submitted my documents after having an meeting with the agency. They requested more paper work and forms to fill out. Just playing the waiting game as the apartment is not a guaranteed.

I am having an interview with the agency next week. They had asked me to submit PA budget letters. I am wondering if Medicaid counted as public assistance though. Or what exactly counted as public assistance?
