You know its bad when you get any log numbers under 10,000 and your like woww I got low log lmaoooo
when we all know that ain't no damn low log number but lottery applicant hustle can cause the low log delusions lmaooooo had to lighten mood folks. This lottery stuff has me stressed out.
fingers crossed! I have my eyes on two buildings that close this week and two others im waiting for log #'s to come out. I really want to move at least this year & I feel like in order to do that I need reallyyyy low log numbers like under 500 (which I've yet to have ever).
This whole process isn’t keeping up with the demand of affordable housing. Especially with people in lower AMI categories. I thought a log number of 2xx with no preferences was my chance but nothing. I haven’t heard a word. I’m starting to get tired of venting my frustrations on this forum too lmaooooo. It’s time to consider leaving NYC for good.
I just saw a thread on Twitter. States all over are raising the rent. I too considered moving to GA where a friend lives. She told me straight up not to bother. A studio is $1,200 in horrible parts of GA. Even Arizona which is affordable has risen their 720sft apartments to $1,500. Can’t catch a break anywhere

I’ll wait for the recession to hit
They keep raising the rent but not the pay. Make it make cents (pun intended)
If anyone is willing to move out in the area that a little bit further i.e. Jamaica, you can still find an affordable rent. I knew for sure some newer buildings (with in-building laundry, courtyard, & gym) in Jamaica Estates & surroundings have a studio with $1450-$1550 monthly rent & we are talking a decent size of a studio with 1-2 walk-in closets & in the safe neighborhood. I can't say about other areas like Brooklyn but as someone from Queens, trust me, you can still find less than $1700/month rent for a studio &/or 1BR apartments.
