Is anyone else awaiting HPD approval? Mine is for 196 Willoughby .. was submitted on may 25 and it’s been 8 business days now (not including the holiday last Monday). I’m super nervous!
I called HPD and the one gentleman was very nice and said he would reach out to my project manager at HPD for an update. However, I also emailed and got a very general response of “your file has been submitted please wait for the agent to reach out once it’s been processed”. My lease is up July 1st so trying to push the approval as quickly as possible. I can live with my bf if needed during the time I’m awaiting approval (if I still am). But I know this process usually only takes 1-2weeks. Anyone else waiting?
Any advice for people who were approved in the past? Thanks!!
They also mentioned a June 1 or 15 move in, so I’m anxious that I haven’t been approved yet.
I know my file was sent to HDC on or about the same date you mentioned. (May 25)
I also have not heard back, I e-mailed my agent and they said they are waiting and will let me know.
I was told it would only take 2-3 days...

You should be anticipating that June 15 might arrive without your move-in date established. I hope you get an earlier move in date but it might not happen.
What could cause them to deny you if you already viewed your assigned unit?
If anything the agency didnt catch. So like income, family size, etc. But usually the agency goes thru everything before HDC even gets the chance to see. When it’s sent to HDC that’s basically the last thing. They usually do approve though. Haven’t meant anyone who was deny when it goes thru HDC. Not saying It can’t Happen but I haven’t heard anyone. Maybe someone on here may have experienced this.
