Two appeals later I’m moving in next week. A few things that might be helpful for others. 1 bed 130 Ami are still available. The floorplan that is on housing connect is not even close to what I was offered. I loved the apartment and was shocked that it’s a floorplan/unit you can find on street easy. Beautiful view on a highish floor. Although it was an extremely frustrating process I can say that it was worth the effort. They were super nice during the appeal process and once my file was submitted to hpd it was approved in a 1 day. I would say if you’re on the higher end of the income bracket really challenge how they look at your income and assets. My income is pretty straight forward and they got it wrong multiple times so I would assume there are a lot of appeals happening:

Congratulations!!!
I'm afraid that they'll calculate my income wrong because I'm closer to the max of 70% AMI. But let's see what happens! I'll stay positive.
Has anyone gone through the appeal process and can give me more information? They disqualified me because I was missing documents after I asked them several times if I was missing anything, they never asked me for additional documents but straight up rejected me.
I'm really frustrated and it's not clear to me how the process is supposed to proceed, have any of you filed an appeal and succeeded?
How long should it take before I hear back from them? Is there anything I can do at this time? Does anyone know if there are 1 bedrooms left for 130%?
I read here that they contacted people and asked for more documents, so I wonder why they didn't do the same with me?
If you have any advice or if you can tell about your process it would really help. I filed an appeal a week ago and still haven't heard from them.
@OG22 they contacted me to ask for updated documents, meaning I had already submitted everything needed, but some time had elapsed, so I had 2 additional paystubs. But all the previous required documents were already submitted. For ex. Tax return, explanation of accounts transactions, proof of rent payments etc.
From reading some of the comments, the appeal process seems to go smoothly for most and I think someone recently mentioned that there were 130AMI 1 bedrooms still available. But, the only way to know for certain is to contact them.
