Understand that there is a single set of log# for the entire building. Not separate log# each different category. Look at the lottery notice to see how many of the apts you qualify for. The more apartments you qualify for the better your chances are.
Do you have Community Board preference (look it up if you don’t know)? This category has the most apartments, 72 or so in this case. They can be any combination of the apartments in the building. If you have the CB preference your 91xx log# is much much more likely to prevail. If you have CB preference it’s not impossible that your 91xx log# is the lowest log# with CB preference. But they don’t publish what is the lowest CB preference log#.
You don’t really know who is being called because you don’t get to see the log#s and which ones have preferences. This is a drag. We don’t know what the lowest log# is for CB preference. If it’s 10,0000 then some very high log# with CB preference will get apartments. On the other hand, if the luck of the draw is there are lots of log#s with CB preference under 200 then perhaps all the CB allotment will go to log# under 200.
You can follow along in this forum to see when people post that they have been contacted and report their log#. It’s anyone’s guess how soon that will be, it could be months before they start.
The lower AMI% allotments tend to get taken sooner. The one bedroom apartments tend to go sooner than the studios. If the studios are very small, more log# will tend to reject them and the log# that takes the studio can be very high, as a result.
Having a preference qualification is powerful, but any other person with the same preference qualification AND a LOWER Log# out ranks you. They would have to pass or be disqualified before your higher log# gets called.
The two different disability preferences have the highest priorities. But, in this lottery they will only amount to about 9 apartments. After those are filled, a disability preference doesn’t count anymore.
This lottery has a single 3 bedroom apartment. It is 70% AMI. Min. Household Size for the 3 bed is 3. My guess is it will be taken pretty soon by a log # with a disability and/or CB preference.
