Your question can be answered better if more information is provided.

There are about 135 units in the lottery. But a household can’t qualify for all the 135 units. For example, a household of 3 people can’t both qualify for a studio, and a 3 bedroom.

Do you know how many of the 135 units you qualify for? The more the better.

Your log# is high. But, because this lottery uses preferences, a preference can improve your chancees because many of the units will got to log# with preferences. If log# 1 has no preference qualifications then it has to wait until the preference categories are filled.

This lottery uses preferences. NYCHA Resident (NYC Housing Project residents) will get a quarter of the units. This is about 33 units. Bronx Community Board 5 Residents will get half of the units, about 66 units, this means people who live in the district where the building is located.

If you live in NYC Public Housing, and or live in Bronx Community Board 5 your number is much better. However even if both things a true we don’t know what are the lowest log#s are in those preference categories.

Once the preference categories are filled, the lottery proceeds in a more normal numerical method.
