Exactly ! I was under the impression that I was signing after I did deposits. No lease yet !!!

I was told I had five business days to send first & last , pick up keys , and sign lease. Still no lease I am more than upset.

What does your housing connect say? Guess they can’t have You sign a lease until hpd approval but they doing things backwards.

I reached out to hpd they said the decision will be made in the next few days. But why would Melrose make me send 2 checks ( $3,000).

Did u make copy and keep the receipt for the check that u sent them just keep a record of it cause that’s a lot of money. Maybe they know that hpd will approve u

They ask for 2 checks because 1 is 1st month and the othe is for the security

You guys aren’t understanding. I got an email from Melrose stating I was approved. That’s Why I sent money. Via checks. I dropped off to office.
