Because the history of New York City fascinates me endlessly, one of my favorite parts of Manhattan is the Financial District, below Fulton Street. Quite a few of the streets in that part of town date back to the 18th, and occasionally 17th centuries. (At the other end of the island, I also like Fort Tryon for its collection of Art Deco apartment buildings).
