I'd be in Jackson Heights and the options I think are Time Warner Cable, RCN, Optimum Triple Play, and if it'll service me, Verizon Fios. What are you using and why'd you choose it over the others?
Verizon, chosen because it offers the best service, and I got tired of dealing with the cable company and recurrent issues with cable boxes.

Thank You guys, I will contact them tomorrow and most likely compare them with RCN (its the service being used currently at my mother's apartment and its been good this whole time.
Use Verizon FIOS. Quality of service is incredible, but keep a close eye on their billing department. Cable just cannnot compete with fiber optic. Even the PHONE is terrific.
New FIOS deal advertised is $74.95 for the triple play with a 2 year contract. It's a steal. (Better than I have dammit.)
I have two wires stiking into my apartment, TW and Verizon FIOS. I hope to be able to play one against the other when my promo period runs out.
There's no way all 3 cable companies offer service to Jackson Heights. It's either Verizon or whatever is the cable company that has a monopoly in that area. For sure it's not Cablevision since they don't serve Queens at all. RCN covers LIC & Astoria, maybe they cover JH. More than likely it's only Time Warner.
Here's a website that tells you who serves what: Cablemover.com
I know Time Warner and RCN cover Rego Park.
But sometimes it's building by building depending on who can bribe your landlord the most.
You can usually go to the website and enter your address and find out if you are covered.
