I can't even believe this!! Some imbecile jumped off the monorail at the Bronx Zoo into the tiger area. Luckily for him, they only keep one tiger there. The rest are at the Tiger Mountain exhibit.

This moron's leg was nearly severed by the tiger and he will likely lose the leg. Serves him right!

I've been on that monorail so many times and I just don't get how he did it. I know the monorail is open but to be able to jump from it and clear that fence? It's a pretty far jump.

I just hope they don't do anything to the tiger. He/she was doing what tigers do: defending its territory!! The tiger did nothing wrong!!!!!

When are people going to realize that, although these animals are in zoos, they are still wild animals!!!!!!

He probably will and they will have to either close the monorail down or make it an enclosed ride (which would totally suck because it's nice being in the open air on that ride!)

Just like those assssholes in CA who hid and stayed at the zoo after hours and harassed the tiger, throwing things at it, etc until they pissed it off so much that it jumped out of its enclosure and killed one of them. Of course, his family sued. I wouldn't have awarded them a penny!!! To the contrary, I would have made them pay for the damage their scummy son did to the zoo!!

The tiger should have had him for lunch and we wouldn't have to worry about the taxpayers paying his medical bills, rehab, etc.

Maybe is a love at first sight thing, even though the tiger didn't
reciprocated his feeling or just love him as a big human steak.

I think he either thought it was a petting zoo, or he was hitting the crack pipe. lol! Sorry to say, I don't feel as bad for him as I probably should ... the tiger probably thought he was getting a special bonus for something - a big juicy human treat !! And, then BAM !! Hit with the foam from a fire extinguisher ... how stressful for the poor animal.

Terrible story, I hope that the 'tiger' is ok ... they've disrupted his caged enviroment. I hope the zoo brings the man up on charges - he got what he deserved.
