See that's the thing, a lot of the luxury condos and that type of stuff is being developed in East Harlem, but from my own personal experience I generally feel a whole lot safer in West Harlem.
Do people still consider Williamsburg a ghetto? There are some parts of Billyburg that still seem pretty ghetto to me.
The reason I bring it up is because to me Harlem is going to go under some big changes in the next 10 years. People are already being displaced believe it or not.
Harlem is a short train ride away from downtown. The projects are in concentrated areas. I'm surprised the gentrification hasn't happened quicker honestly.
Williamsburgh is still a ghetto in some areas. I know Cooper projects is located in Williamsburgh.
