There's a burger joint in CT called Louis' Lunch. They use the original grills and they're very simple. No buns--just toasted white bread. Here's the kicker--no ketchup allowed or any other condiments lol. Lettuce, tomato and onion. Not sure if they make cheeseburgers.
these are the grills they still use
Call me crazy, but isn't that ketchup in your photo?
White Castle? White Castle?? Bwahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahaahaa! You are too funny and I believe that you're being serious. The burgers are so small that you can't tell what it's made of but I used to love them back in the day.
Klassy,
The White Castle burgers are made of BUN with some meat grease sprayed on in a thin layer.
I gave them a try long ago and that try was just so delectable that I thought I would go 40 years with never another.
Perhaps they are good for wiping up kitchen spills or poisoning pigeons? Maybe as a bunion pad for tight shoes?
How that chain remains in business I will never know...but then I have never solved the mystery of Radio Shack's survival either.
Taking the bus up First Avenue I spotted a WC in the lower 100's. Unfortunately I left my crucifix at home so I could not kill the curse. From what I could see they had zero customers.
Their burgers are alright. I definitely prefer 5 Guys/other Diner's burgers around my way instead. However, their shakes are alright. Definitely not worth the wait in front of those massive lines that gather in most spots across the city.
A bunch of us went to the Shake Shack in DC...We all liked it, but we agreed it didn't live up to the hype and it's not good enough to stand in a long line.
I guess none of you will like Fatburger in Murray Hill.
I've gone. Both SS and 5G are superior to me.
