They need to start licensing these people. Must be a legal resident, can't have felony convictions. If they harass people they lose there license. Also, they have to have permission from the trademark/copyright holders for the character. They can request, but not demand, a tip. If they get pushy, they're done.

Next, they can crack down on those damn "subway drummers." Hate to come off as a sorehead, but I'd way prefer silence.

There can't be anything worse for kids to see than Spiderman getting his ass kicked and arrested.

Especially if your folks just shelled out a couple of dollars to have your photo taken with him!
Was in TS yesterday. They looked as forward as ever. Tugging arms, etc.
The real crackdown needs to be on the badger rappers.

I think it's 'burkas.'

And, I emphatically do not agree. It is a religous freedom issue. This isn't effing France, thank God.

Where did he get knocked out at? I'm not sure you know the definition of a knock out.

Anyway, out of all the annoying people in times square who try to "extort" people, they want choose to pick on the elmos and spideys?

This is my problem with NY. Once again, there are plenty of pedophiles, murderers and rapist walking the street. Thousands of Missing children that still need to be found.

But no, let's harass Buzz Lightyear instead.

My problem with NYC is the idiots, clowns & thugs, who think they should be able to do anything short of murder, and not be bothered for it. And those who support them.
Aggressively panhandle tourists in Times Square.
Stick a CD in someone's hand & tell them that they just bought it for $10, or else.
Boom box dance in a subway car, then stick a hat in your face & demand payment.

How about you & your ilk leave the rest of us alone? Don't get in anyone else's face & ask for/demand money. Don't yell & scream profanities into your cell phone, while in a crowd. Don't eat & drink in the bus or subway car. No one cares about your drama.
And this was just yesterday!
