I also don't understand how so many people missed the residency question. After I sat and we got our papers, there was at least a 10 MINUTE wait period for everyone on the floor to be seated. You mean to tell me during ALL that time, you didn't even ONCE glance at that front page to notice the residency?!?! Yea dude -5 for you. Matter of fact, if you even got there late so as not to take advantage of that extra 10 minutes then you should remember to be on time in 2019 lol

It's not as easy as you would think.
If you google it, you can find a few websites that offer free sample exams.
General Knowledge Test 1 - Crist CDL's Online Testing Center
Take all the exams on there til you have it down pat and try and take the exams at the DMV. The DMV also has a free book for you to study for the CDL.

Remember, you need to take Tanker, Air Brakes, and General Knowledge.

Doesn't matter, whenever you're taking a life changing test you need to read all instructions.

Hell that was the first question I looked for. Just shows you don't want the job that badly.

Couldn't agree more. Those who want this job should've done their research before taking the test in regards to what it would take to get a decent list number and the residency credit is absolutely crucial to getting called.

Well you guys had this website to use as a reference. Not everyone knows that you get residency credit. I know I didn't know and I didn't check it off the last test.. I had to send it in after. If I didn't do it I still probably wouldn't be on yet.. so yeah..

They have no business operating a multiple ton garbage truck if it's that hard for them to follow simple instruction.

I would definitely read the manual. I read it twice and scored a 100 on all 3 test. it's worth to put the work into it, there're were many people from my class that just went to the dmv without reading and had to retake it 8 times until they passed. some even had to go to different dmvs cause you're only allowed to take a test once a day in certain dmvs.To me its easier just to study. heres the link. study sections 1,2,3,5 and 8 and you will be fine
