Rents are at an all time high here. Wages are still stagnant in comparison to the COL which is especially high in large cites like ours. It's crazy to think that you can get a mortgage for LESS in some parts of the country for a whole house.
I never understood how anyone could afford those rents. I mean 4k a month is just mind-numbing to live near a few small cafes and a bodega with more expensive candy.

It's a three bedroom. Given the context, it's obviously going to be rented by three roommates, not a family. $4.2k divided by 3 is just $1.4k a head.
Lol insanity....to be comfortable you need 100K and thats bad
and when I say comfortable I just mean that everything's paid, no extra curriculars
100k nets around 65k per year after taxes, or 5400 a month. that would be almost 80% of your income going to rent...lol. nowhere near comfortable. basically working for the landlord and giving him your check.
