yea strange, crime or no crime for the price to be down 65% from a few years ago

17 Dewey Pl. - Multi-family Apartment Sale in Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn | StreetEasy

I guess prices vary wildly in this area
That's not Stuyvesant Heights either.

That's Saraghina East haha...borderline Bed-Stuy/Brownsville

did you read the listing? It says needs TLC that usually means the floor is about to cave in, watch where you step.

See if I wanted to live in Brooklyn I would actually be interested in this...I'm from the hood so living over here would be no different as to where I'm at now

BK zoning is so confusing

Something smells fishy that the place sold for >$500k then just about a year sold again for >$600k. This all took place back when the area was firmly part of crack, crime, violent infested Bed-Stuy Do or Die. Either someone got snookered or some serious money was laundered. *LOL*

It's in Bed-Stuy. Brownsville is south of Atlantic Avenue from where that listing is located. Now if you go south of Atlantic Avenue on the map, east of Ralph Avenue is Brownsville, west of Ralph Avenue is Crown Heights.

Zoning has nothing to do with it. NYC neighborhood boundaries and or names shift all the time over the years. Usually but not exclusively due to real estate interests.

Stuyvesant Heights is the southern end of Stuyvesant Avenue. Now around there is real nice and quiet. Go like 2 blocks east, or 2 blocks south, or about 8-10 blocks north, not so much.
