HELLLOOOOO their job is to imprison us or ticket us. When the public reacts like this it's ONLY because they have been backed into a corner. So yea...now blame poor DeBlasio for cleaning up the mess.

Absolutely spot on. When are people going to start holding cops accountable for their actions. The police state does not exist because politicians or judges merely utter words and then go home after work. It exists because there are individuals who are willing to point guns at people to enforce the words of politicians and judges, even if those words violate the publics right to their body and property. All cops have to do is to ignore immoral, unconstitutional or abusive laws. Let people be and focus on real crime. Even worse, cops don't even enforce the laws of politicians because they constantly lie, fabricate stories and evidence and violate every single rule and prodecure.

Stop feeling sorry for this group of people. They are not the "good guys". They make me feel just as concerned as the thugs walking the streets. The only difference is thug don't do what they do under the color of law and thugs don't have this blind brotherhood where every cop backs each other up no matter what one has done.

Cops are just as likely to harm you as they are to help you. Given the position of power cops are in I find it unacceptable if cops aren't 100% in the right in their actions and ways. It's not a Starbucks situation where you like one coffee and not the other. That's coffee. With cops, the lives and freedom of the public is at stake. I would feel different if it was just a few bad apples and the rest of the cops shunned them, arrested them and commiserated the abuse. But all cops stand behind each other and their abuse and that is unacceptable. All cops enforce abusive laws and that is unacceptable.

I wouldn't engage them. That's what they want. Let everyone see what they post. Shows everyone just how unreasonable they are.

If you guys could be so kind as to keeping me up-to-date with the time and location of the next Black Lives Matter protest. I'd like to attend. Finally, a black life actually worthy of the cause.

They apprehended the individual that shot the officer soon after... There's no need for protest

How would that have helped? Had he been frisked he might have just shot the cop in the same way

Or maybe he would simply stash the gun somewhere rather than carry it around all day long

Or maybe he would just risk getting caught with it

But it is really sad though, I'm not exactly pro-NYPD but it's a shame that this happened
