First, it was hoods hitting people in the nose and knocking them down....now is this? And the worst part is that it is spreading to certain cities in Florida.
I remember learning that face slashing was always used as a gang initiation, and now with every instance of it getting SO MUCH airtime on every local news network, it's no wonder that there has been an uptick in the amount of slashings. If someone looking to get into a gang can get that much publicity for their act, it only increases their credibility in the gang.

Another one happened on the UWS too yesterday.
They need to come up with a punishment and say all people who are found guilty of slashing someone will serve 10 years in prison. No early release of whatever.

Not gonna happen, it's going to disproportionately affect certain groups which is against the spirit of equality.
