I hate the rain and cold. Can't wait for spring.

Why did I ever leave California?

I can deal with snow better than I can deal with the heat wave we had last summer...

It's horrible. Yet so many move down there for the weather anyways.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna do this forever. I think I'm going to become a snowbird when I retire.

Today is purely brutal. Seems like every time I change direction the wind shifts so that the snow is blowing in my face.

Supposed to be some relief early next week. I hope so.

I thought we were going to get a "light dusting of 1 or 2 inches of snow". Wrong. Woke up this morning to snow coming down heavily and it hasn't stopped since. It's still snowing. At least here in Queens anyway.

Since I quit smoking a few years ago, now when it snows i can smell how awful it is. It just smells like raw sewage to me. There is nothing nastier than snow. nothing!

Couldn't ask for a better surprise.

Curious, what is it about snow in the city you actually enjoy!? Sledding? That must be fun, i'll give you that. Other than that? It's a horrible nuisance and it feels like the Universe jizzed all over us.

Winter's aren't so bad in the modern world if you have shelter, heat, and adequate clothing.

I never got the "4 seasons type of person" nonsense. No rational human being would pick 4 seasons over San Diego type weather. The problem is most of the world doesn't experience San Diego type weather.
Believe it or not, I know some Californians who've told me they got tired of consistently fair, sunny, 70 degree weather all year round and love the change of seasons NYC brings. Course all of them have lived in NYC for less than five years. Let's see how long that love affair lasts. That said, I for one do appreciate the change of seasons that we get here & I've been here for close to 30 years or so. I didn't always feel that way of course but have grown an appreciation for it. It brings variety.
