I know this has been talked about in other threads randomly but no actually thread is made on the topic.
What is the best way, to cover the vents so I stop getting my neighbors weed smoke in my apartment?

Get a good air purifier if you want any sanity

I smell my neighbor's cigarette smoke once in a while, as long as none of my stuff starts smelling like cigarettes I'll deal with it.

I have one. A good large one. But when I'm not in my apartment, I don't like to leave things on so it does no good. I was outta my apartment for a few days, I came home and my apartment smelled like someone had a party in it. So I figure I'll just cover the vents and see if that helps when I'm not in my apartment.

You can try Oxium, its a little spray they sell, mechanics use it, I hear it works

It's like $4 for a little bottle

I thought smoking wasn't allowed in apartments?

Thanks I looked it up, may not be bad to get but I'm still wondering if anyone has recommendations what to seal/cover the vent with.

Since when do people follow the rules. For example...Drinking before your 21 is against the rules but how many of us drank before then.

We duct-taped around our bathroom vents. Lots of people smoke in my building unfortunately for me.
I also purchased an air-purifier. If it’s very windy outside, I get more bad smells ( food too), then if it’s not windy.

Good luck. Hope you find a solution that works for you

My complex starts enforcing our no-smoking policy in August.

If your bathroom has no windows, then I don't reccommend covering your vent. You'll get mold in your bathroom after a while because your vent is the only way moisture can escape. Unless you leave the door to your bathroom openfor a while after you take a shower every time to air it out.

I never close my bathroom door. Like ever! The perks of living alone.
My bathroom is near front door with no window. I'm hoping mold won't be an issue.
