Why do so many threads seem fake to me these past few days? Some of the questions OPs ask just strain credibility. Does the weekend bring out another type of poster? That someone thinks they can just come here with no proper visa, no job, no plan boggles the mind.
The political climate in the U.S. right now is very difficult for foreigners who want to move here and are not buying some multi-million-dollar condo, not that it was ever easy. Plan a 90-day visit (you can probably find a short-term apt; I'm not up on the law regarding airbnb in NY), and as someone else said, maybe you'll figure out a way to stay. But my guess is that you won't even like it. You will not be able to work. If I were in your shoes, I'd likely head to Madrid or Barcelona.
Hilarious, my spelling was never my strong point.. I don't have a work permit, some one told me I was allowed to say not more than 90 days at a time.
or I could start a business there and get a 2 year work permit.
If you are British, I would suggest you try moving to Canada or Australia being that they are British Commonwealth countries and would be probably much easier for you to get a residental visa/work permit for.
You’re welcome here. Don’t worry about needing an immigrant visa or work permit. You’re free to enter on the VWP and overstay like the many millions of illegal here. Here in NYC, we will roll out the red carpet for you. No money? No worries. We will put you up in a nice shelter or hotel and will never ask about your status. Either way you’re free to what many scammers in NYC do — marry a US Citizen and get your greencard quickly. We love illegals and you will never go hungry or jobless here.
