Turkish is pretty good. Persian food is surprising bland too.
I don't think so. There was a really good deli in Borough Park where I used to work. 14th Avenue and 38th, IIRC. It's called Zion. It was a Yemenite kosher place and they had this great vegetable soup with all these ME spices. I bought the spices to make my own soup when I left. They had all sorts of salads and burekas and Moroccan spiced salmon on Fridays.

I like Turkish, too. Miss this place. Used to work near there, too

They've got immigrants, too. I go up to the lake country in Ontario, about 150 miles from the border at Thousand Islands.

First time I went up, I stopped at the local convenience store. Went inside, and who is behind the counter but a Sikh. For a moment I thought I'd taken a wrong turn and gone back to Jersey.

Why not just become a "pensioner" (as they call it in the UK) and visit once in a while. You can't live here anymore because the pound exchange rate is no longer 3 to 1. So rock it out for 12 more years. Easier said than done I know. But there are many things you don't have to worry about in the UK that you would need to worry about here. Such as going bankrupt due to exorbitant healthcare costs. That being said it's probably easier to see a doctor here more quickly. But you will pay out the a** for it.

Some of the most culturally relevant Canadians right now are children of immigrants.
