LMAO. Thank goodness I only had an espresso from Le Pain Quotidien. My avocado toast and pastry shall be eaten later when I no longer have the vivid description you just gave in my head.

A Frencho huh... lol That place is Belgian not French. Sadly there aren't enough Eyetalian places around my office that are cafés besides Zibetto.

Who is going out in the sauna for lunch? Not I... My co-worker came back to the office yesterday telling me in Italian how hot it was, then I told him the temperature outside and we both started laughing. He of all people shouldn't be out in such weather with his fragile heart. Sometimes I wanna tell him in Italian, eh guagliò, this ain't the old country. Lose the jacket and tie. He wears a jacket and tie no matter how hot it is outside.

I just came from Pret (although it's across the street) I didn't think it was that hot at all. I thought it felt great.

It always feels great when you've been sitting in AC. It usually takes me about 10 minutes of walking before I feel the affects of the heat, and by then I've gotten my food and am making my way back to my office to get back into the AC. I don't like anything over 65, not unless there's shade and low humidity. A lot of these places don't have good AC either (looking at you Whole Foods ) so I will walk, get lunch and immediately walk back to the office.

I'm due for a stop at WF tonight, but I am not going all the way down to TriBeCA, so I will have to stop at one closer by.

Speaking of Pret, I'm not sure what it is about their sandwiches, but anything with mayo in it makes me sick from them. I had a lobster sandwich a few weeks ago which had mayo in it and I noticed my stomach didn't take it too well. I attributed it to the hot weather, but I don't know. Same thing happened when I had lentil soup and a falafel wrap from them too.

I suppose that is true. When motivated, I'll bring my lunch, otherwise I refuse to walk more than a block for lunch. This area is now plagued with suits and interns, I don't have the desire or patience.

I only really get their caesar salad. Apparently today is their birthday so they are offering a chocolate chip cookie with your purchase.

Ha, that's cute. Yeah that area can be really annoying. Mine too. Difficult walking. You can work up a sweat just doing that. I'm crazy, but I often times just walk in the street to avoid all of the meandering around tourists, etc.

Yeah, that's nuts. That's not the kinda sweat I want.

I remember when I was staying in Queens and I would take the 1 train to Columbus Circle - that was the worst. Those trains rarely had any AC. Now I take the lovely Q to Fort Greene.
