It feels like I'm the only one who stands at alert. New Yorkers just walks right pass them. Is this the normal New Yorker thing to do?
Yeah definitely, when you see a famous person most people just shrug. If you want to see celebrities go to good restaurants on Monday or Tuesday nights. That's when they eat in public. I've walked by Matt Damon, Matthew Broderick, bunch of people
People move to NYC not to be noticed. Take Ed Koch sleeping on a bench. Or literally hanging out with some wealthy people. That is why we need to preserve old New York and prevent it from being more like California or even the horrid place named after a flower.

I wondee if celebrities who move to New York tend to be past their prime and less likely to be noticed in the streets.
People seem to actually like working at trader Joe's. I've never seen an unhappy employee there. Funny how in this society we look down on people doing honest work yet we worship wealthy scammers.
Btw Mr. Owens isn't a current celebrity. He's someone who is known for a bit part on a hit show from a long time ago. Let the man be!

A hit show it was, but clearly he didn't see his payday if he's working as a cashier.

He wasn't a main part of the show more like a featured guy. If I remember correctly he got a bit more extended screentime at some point in the show's run. Anyway I'm sure he gets some decent royalty money but that's not enough to live on by itself. Also the Cosby show isn't being rerun as much as it used to be.

I know all of that. Still he isn’t getting much as some others. Look at that black Brazilian guy from The Fresh Prince of Belair... I’m sure he isn’t hurting. In fact he’s still on TV regularly.

If you are referring to Alfonso Ribeiro I think he's of Trinidadian descent. Also he was a main part of that show.

Yes, and with a last name like “Ribeiro” which is a very popular Portuguese last name, I’d be shocked if he was anything but Brazilian.
