Yes and my statements are not contradicted by your assertions on Trump's actions.

My point was to the poster who heard Spanish being spoken and assumed they were illegal. This poster also posseses the unique ability to guess if someone is a refugee or not. Magic!

Exactly. Hillary won with 3 million, even though she beat Trump by 4 million in CA. The Democrats need to understand that to govern one needs to win at the local, state and Federal level. Winning by huge margins in CA, but losing elsewhere doesn't qualify them for office.

The same people love to have their cake and eat it too. So Obama won by a "landslide" in 2012 because he won 62% of the Electoral College, despite only getting 51% of the votes. They loved the Electoral College than as it provided an image of a wholesale rejection of the GOP candidate. But now when it doesn't work that way suddenly its bad.

Well the Electoral College forces people to campaign in all geographic regions, attempting to win support from a diverse cross section. Not just those who live in LA, SF, NYC or Boston.

What they need to get rid of are the "electors" who aren't obligated to cast their votes the way that the voters in each state demand that they do.

You're a big fan of legal immigration but youd like to shut it down. Got it

Only 51 pct of the popular vote is still a majority, unlike the present occupant of the WH

The Dems will still lose because they will not win the House. If you think that a president can get things done without the House just examine what happened to Obama after the Dems lost it.

The Senate is needed because it is included in the Electoral College and it forces people like you to understand that you cannot ignore those who live outside of large coastal metro areas.

Take a look at this country and see how red the map is. Take a look at CA and NY and see how red those state maps are. So should all those people be ignored? I think not.

Good attempt to paint visa overstays as white Europeans/Canadians/Australians vs. the "poor" illegal entrants from Mexico/Central America, but the facts don't reveal this to be true.

And immigrants from Asia aren't too sympathetic to illegal entry by immigrants given that cost and the time that they are forced to invest in migrating to the USA, being forced to comply with the requirements of the US consulates. I don't think that immigrants from the DR or Brazil will favor the illegal entrants either, as they too cannot illegal enter so must get some type of visa.

Of course he is getting away with this because the "immigrant advocates" focus on those attempting to avoid the usual process of legal migration. So if legal immigrants have no advocates Trump can then do as he wishes.

The best way to help the process of legal immigration is to crack down on those who try to thwart the process, either by illegally entering or making unsubstantiated claims for asylum just so that they can enter the USA.

The house goes back and forth. Which party presently controls the house? Colors on the map are not reflective of population. That big red sploch in Wyoming is much larger than many places but with 1/500 the number of voters

Don't be distracted by the colors
