There is no credible scientific publication or medical journal that corroborates this accusation. It doesn't have to come "directly out of the forest". The evidence suggests there was an intermediate host, either another wild animal, a domesticated wild animal, or a domesticated animal. All you need to cultivate this virus is to raise civets or wild boar in a farm, which is very common in parts of China. You don't need a lab to do this.

This is no longer in the realm of scientific or medical but more of a forensic investigation. The world needs to form a committee whose sole job is to investigate how this virus came about. If there is wrongdoing, even if unintentional, then somebody(s) needs to be held accountable.
This isn't so much about science as really a news item. The virus was likely a natural mutation, so scientific analysis would only show that, and that it was not intentionally engineered (if, in fact that could be determined by analyzing the virus itself.)
But the fact that the virology institute was advertising for people to research THIS EXACT TYPE OF VIRUS, from the exact source it likely came from, and that someone working on it just disappeared off the face of the earth right at the point in the timeline when the pandemic should have been in it's infancy, is extraordinarily suspicious. Of course the Chinese government will do everything it possibly can to cover this up.
Also, the bats that started this may very well have been bought in the wet market, by the researcher, for the research. So it all may tie together. But if/when the truth about this comes out, I'm pretty convinced they source of the infection will run through the virology institute. It's just too huge of a coincidence for it not to be a factor.

I doubt that’s just an opinion. People are still going to die from other things even if there are many more who are dying from the coronavirus. However, them bodies all need to go somewhere, and it’s quite possible that they are segregating the bodies by coronavirus-related deaths and other deaths.
Delivery sounds great but in NYC people are not able to get a delivery slot. I checked Fresh Direct where I’ve ordered from in the past and there were Zero slots. I’ve heard you have to sit in front of your computer refreshing the screen and hoping they add new slots. Similar problems with other grocery deliveries as well, or you order and only get half the stuff you asked for.
It’s hard to make delivery work so I go out once a week for shopping. Try to keep my distance and sanitize my hand after and wash thoroughly at home.
Try looking at mercato and see if there’s a grocery store near you that does delivery

Among all the theories/conspiracies regarding the origin of this virus, I lean more towards the lab leakage based on my own readings and feeds from "informed" parties. It explains better why the CCP tried desperately to cover up for an epidemic that would wreak havocs on its own peopel...and it explains why they were so decisive in that complete nationwide lockdown that they didn't implement during SARA that is more deadly.
It is well documented that the Wuhan Virology Ins was working on this virus for long and it has strong government/military involvement and background. I feel for the bats that were eaten by the Chinese and then blamed for this virus that they didn't even carry......
Nobody but the slimy CCP knows what exactly happened...it is likely that future historians will officially blame this epidemic on the bats that were slaughtered and cooked...but were possibly innocent...and nobody will care to fight for their justice......
getting back to the relevance to this epidemic here in the US, Trump was briefed by the US Intelligence agency on the virus but he totally dismissed its danger and acted as an outsider except to close flights from China. He neglected that after the virus spread to Iran/Italy/Korea, the US became widely open to the epidemic. Based on the timeline of the US epidemic compared with other nations, the virus is more likely spread through european travels/cruise ships than directly from China.
