...but, i hardly drink myself (anymore) ....sometimes i'll have a cold beer (a Presidente),
once a week, on my lunch hour...and i never really liked beer - but drank it anyway.

but Presidente, delish -- refreshing, smooth, light in taste, and some weeks, no libations at all.
I only cook with wine -- not a wine drinker.

my grandfather used to make wine in the basement -- towards the front
of the house, a small dimly lit room--it had that smell.....in the summer,
my mother LOVED slicing a peach, and putting a piece in her wine.....

...but i love to serve it to others...

Happy St. Patrick's Day...! celebrate.
It would be nice to have the Pina Colada warm weather already. Especially with many activities closed at the moment.

Opinion:
Today everybody is Irish............
Had a wonderful St.Patrick's Day with family.

Home made Corn beef&Cabbage ,potatoes and carrots.
Compliments of my lovely wife.
Plenty of mustard. Cup of broth and some soda bread.
A tepid beer and sat in my recliner watching the Quiet Man
on channel 5.2 or something like that.
I always jerk a tear after watching that movie.
I guess...... I yearn for those days gone by.

P.S.
Although I'm Italian, the Quiet man represents a glimpse into a
wonderful way of living had by many immigrants from many cultures
of many generations long gone.............You young folks are blessed
if you understand.............

Happy St.Patty's to all.............
