I have the newer type radiators as opposed to the old fashioned cast iron ones, mine are low to the floor, still cast iron though.
The thermometers in each of my rooms reads at 72 kitchen, 73 bedroom and living room...for the most part, give or take, depending on the sun.

I like 76 better...but we haven't really had a long stretch of cold outside for me to ask for more heat, in the meantime, when I'm in the kitchen as I am now and if I feel cold, my trusty little electric heater gets plugged in, but right now the temp is reading - 72 degrees with 17 percent humidity....I feel fine...

De'Longhi heaters are the way to go in terms of safety (they turn off if it gets too hot or tip over). I've been using two of them (living room and bedroom) since last week. When temps dip to the 20's, they're the way to go because you can only bundle up so much. I refuse to dress up like an eskimo indoors.

Better to just seal the windows if they are drafty. Keeps a lot of cold air out.

Typical of cheapo landlords. You are getting ripped off.

What good is getting cold over and over again before you can get warm ? > It saves money.

I finally did just that! I started to feel too guilty. So, I finally sealed up my windows and ac. It still gets cold but it's better than nothing & either it's not too cold today or it's really helping because I haven't used the heaters at all today. We'll see how it goes later in the night.

It’s not that cold outside. Not windy at all.

Today was warmer than yesterday, but yes, sealing the windows keeps out the cold air, so it stays warmer for longer, and you don't need as much heat.
