Yeah, I agree, it's pretty shocking that anyone would think it's okay to treat an entire group of people as criminals, regardless of their individual behavior, because they're poor and people of color.
The thing I really don't understand is who is buying these "worn shoes and battered power strips"??
I get that destitute people want to sell stuff, but why is there a market for this horrible junk? Or IS there a market for it, or just wishful thinking that someone will come along who wants a pair a trashed shoes?
There is nothing to indicate the people selling stuff are "criminals."
The church parking lot closed, so they can't sell their stuff there. This is only temporary.
Are city ordinances being violated? My guess is yes.
